The emsTradepoint Limited management team acknowledges today’s announcement by Transpower New Zealand Limited regarding the planned closure of its wholly-owned subsidiary emsTradepoint Limited on 1 September 2024. We understand this news may cause concern for our stakeholders, and we want to assure you that the emsTradepoint management team is firmly committed to the future of the business and the value it delivers to New Zealand’s energy market.

Quintin Tahau (General Manager) and Kerry Wilkins (Markets Manager) strongly believe in emsTradepoint, and that the business plays a vital role in facilitating efficient energy and carbon markets. We are currently working closely with Transpower to develop a plan that will ensure the continued operation of the platform and the services it provides.
